Mango Berry Breakfast Smoothies

4.2 from 203 cooks

A thick blend of mango and mixed berries poured into glasses and topped with chopped nuts, ready in minutes for a grab-and-go breakfast.

Weekend mornings call for a smoothie that does not need much attention, and this one blends in under five minutes. Frozen mango balances the tartness of mixed berries, while a splash of orange juice keeps the texture pourable instead of icy. Scatter chopped almonds and walnuts over the top just before serving so they stay crunchy against the cold fruit.

  1. Combine the frozen mango, mixed berries, yogurt, orange juice, and honey in a blender, adding the softer ingredients first so the blades catch them easily.

  2. Blend on high for 45 to 60 seconds, stopping once to scrape down the sides, until the mixture is thick, smooth, and completely free of chunks.

  3. Check the consistency and, if the blender struggles to move, add a splash more orange juice, one tablespoon at a time, until it flows freely.

  4. Pour the smoothie evenly between two glasses, tilting each glass slightly as you pour to build a level, even surface across the top.

  5. Scatter the chopped almonds and walnuts over the top of each glass and serve right away with a long spoon.

Kitchen note

Freeze extra mango and berries in a labeled bag so this comes together fast on busy mornings, and swap the yogurt for a dairy-free version if needed.
